ELLEN YEOMANS

I grew up in Southern California in a camping, geologizing and ocean-loving family; studied art at USB's College of Creative Studies, and began a lifelong career as a woodworker in the mid-70's.

Open air landscape painting has been my great joy for decades. I paint outdoors, in oils, on gessoed panels. I make my own frames.

Hours spent standing still outdoors, looking closely and responding to what's there —to what I find beautiful or compelling-are hours that feel well spent.
